Alistair attended Edinburgh University and trained and worked in Edinburgh for several years before returning to Ayrshire in 1985. Alistair has worked in Girvan for over 40 years. He founded the practice of Lambert & Co in 1994. Alistair was a Court practitioner for a number of years before moving over to private client work. He started thinking about retirement in 2025 and after amicable discussions, The McKinstry Company took over the practice of Lambert & Co on 31st December 2025.
Alistair enjoys travelling, to France in particular. When seen locally, Alistair will usually be accompanied by his 8 year old black Labrador, Flora.
