What is the cost of buying/selling my house?

The McKinstry Company offers competitive fees for property transactions. There are certain registration costs and charges imposed which cannot be avoided. Our Property team will talk you through the fees and outlays involved in your transaction so that you are aware of all the costs at the outset.

I have paid off my mortgage - do I need a solicitor to discharge my mortgage?

The mortgage over your property does not automatically disappear from your title deeds and a formal Discharge requires to be prepared. Please contact one of our Conveyancing team who can liaise with your bank or building society to have the document prepared and executed.

Can I transfer the title of my house to my children?
